BWAY Volunteering Opportunities in INDIA
BRIGHT WAY CHARITABLE TRUST (BWAY) is a registered voluntary organisation registered under the Trust Act of Government of Tamil Nadu with registration Number 43/2006. We have been working among the vulnerable children in promoting education; drop out children and for the rural communities. The organization support the unprivileged through volunteer programs to provide them with skills for a new life and a good future to maximize your efforts.
Our District – Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu, South India
Our district is a tiny district with 1689 sq.kms area and 20,00,000 population. It is in the southernmost tip of India and surrounded by 3 seas-Indian Ocean, Bay of Bengal and Arabian Sea. The climate is enjoyable for foreigners since our district receives a rainfall of 1443 mm per annum on average. The local language is Tamil. The district environment is very much hygienic since we have 75,000 Ha.of forest land and vegetative cover everywhere.
Fishing and cultivation of paddy and banana are the main occupation of this district. Moreover the district has 100% literates with more than 300 Schools and 25 Arts & Science colleges and 30 Engineering Colleges.
We provide volunteer support in the following areas.
Orphanage Volunteer Work and Support
The volunteers can get involved with the orphanage children (ranging 0-6 years old) and be a part of their daily routine while providing them much needed love and affection.
Volunteer for Street Children
The organization operates School for Street Children in Nagercoil and Tirunelveli where volunteers help by teaching and inspiring to underprivileged children.
Women Education and Rights
The abroad volunteers are given the opportunity to motivate, encourage, and teach basic skills to young women to improve their quality of life and future.
Teaching Volunteer and Assist Schools
The Tamil and English teaching volunteer program targets international volunteers who are looking to take part in a hands-on, classroom experience in primary and secondary schools.
Community Level Programmes
The volunteers can interact with the community members to explore the culture and life.
